Want to reproduce our images or writings? Ask permission! I may grant usage rights for the use of our images in "for profit" applications but I usually ask for a fair market price. Paintings/Drawings Artists are welcome to use these photos as a basis for a drawing or painting in exchange for a credit. If an image of the artwork is displayed on the Web, credit should be a hyperlink to http://www.lockard.info with a note "Partially based on a photo from http://www.lockard.info". Otherwise the same note can be used in a printed description of the work.
Creating links from your Web pages directly to our images is NOT OK. There are acceptable uses of our work. If you want to print our pictures to cover a stain on your wall or use them in a homework assignment, that's fine. Computer wallpaper etc is acceptable but only for your own personal use. Many, many times I have discovered people who have copied our work (writing, images etc.) to enhance there Web sites. Many people just do not understand what copyright is all about. In some cases it was just poor judgment and inexperience with such things. In others cases it was, well...read on.

If you are the first person to tell me about it, I'll send you a free print for your wall.
